How I Used Twitter To Get A Prospective Client

Last week I attend the Spark and Hustle event at the Boston Convention Center. twitter bird1 How I Used Twitter To Get A Prospective ClientDuring the event we were encouraged to use tweet using the #sparkhustle hash tag. A hash tag is a Twitter bookmark. This way you can track a conversation about a certain topic.  During the event a speaker was talking about outsourcing pieces of your marketing and my potential new client tweeted using the spark and hustle hash tag that she needed someone like that to help pull her marketing together.

I was following the conversation and replied to her tweet that I could help with that and I was sitting in the back of the room wearing a hot pink sweater.  We briefly connected at the event and now I will be having a strategy session with her on Thursday to better understand how my services can help her business.

Now will all business appointments come this quickly, NO, but it I wasn’t involved she may be talking to someone else.  This is how social media works being in the right conversation at the right time.
